The invitation
I’m Adam — your guide. For much of my life I rejected the body — and felt rejected by the world. It started at five years old when I refused to poop at school. I didn't think much of it until decades later, when a wise teacher encouraged me to write creative stories—and I realized that this rejection was in the most absurd, abstract, creative stories I wrote. I realized these stories were about me.
Then in 2025 I started asking people what they felt about the country. A country that seemed more disconnected than ever. And I noticed something strange. Their answers weren't about the country. They were about the body. Parts of the body in crisis. Hearts. Stomachs. Throats. So I started to look more closely. And the body had a lot in common with the world.
I'm here to show people that the body and the world are the same thing. That every/body is the world. And I have a lot of fun doing this.
